Abuse & Lies from the Big Brother Bully

So, it starts again, after another wave of abuse from some of the idiots in Derry after I make a comment about remembering the war dead for more than 2 minutes on 11th November.  Now, former BB House'mate', Conor McIntyre, one of Derry's 'celebrated' citizens, wishes AIDS upon me and then claims I threatened to rape all the female members of his family.  News to me!

Clearly, I was naive and overly optimistic to believe that his on-going tirade towards Deana in the BB may have been a one-off and that he could have, possibly, learnt from that mistake and improved.  Sadly, that has not been the case at all, continuing, as he does, to hold childish grudges against anyone who dares criticise him; insulting and threatening them in the same brutish way we had all become accustomed to through witnessing his actions on national television.

He has since deleted the AIDS commented, after a backlash from some of his more conscientious followers (which, apparently, although hardly surprisingly, numbers very few), but here it is, cemented in cyber space for us all to see, including my lawyer when I go and chat with him tomorrow:

THE SEX NEWS - 10th November 2012

During 'THE JOHNNY ANGLAIS SHOW' days, I used to do a segment call 'THE SEX NEWS', on the hour, each hour we broadcast.  It sounds fairly humorous, which some of the stories were, but we also covered serious topics around sex and sexuality too.  The main criteria was that all stories were real and had been reported of in mainstream, credible press.

More recently, I have been promising, to my listeners on 'BENEDICT'S BOX', to get around to reviving 'THE SEX NEWS' and doing a video version.  Well, here is the result!

You will notice the presenter, Randy McSemen (American by birth, but been residing in the UK for many years, as you can tell from his intonations), looks rather uncannily like me.  Do not be fooled!

Benedict on HuffPost Live

Following the sacking of an NYC guidance counselor after racy photos from her past surfaced on the web, I was last night invited to participate in a discussion about 'Teacher's Troubled Past' on HuffPost Live.

'Up4aMeet?' is up no more

We made it through three weeks of performances, three leading ladies, two directors, mixed reviews, a variety of audience sizes and we've come out the other side smiling and so pleased to have been involved in such an amazing production.

The last performance of 'Up4aMeet?' was very well received by an extremely enthusiastic audience, culminating in a standing ovation from the house.

Its very sad to leave, what has, after 6 weeks of intense rehearsing and performance schedule, become a very close-knit group of people.  But before we parted our separate ways, we hit Freedom Bar in Soho for one more night of fun and frolicking!

With cast & crew on the last day.

Visit from Victoria

Was very excited to see fellow Big Brother housemate, Victoria Eisermann.  She popped down to the Waterloo East Theatre last night with a couple of friends to see me in the penultimate night of 'Up4aMeet?'.  We then headed over to Auberge in Waterloo for a few after-show drinks.  Life is never quiet when Victoria is around!:

Denise Welch is 'Up4aMeet'

Last night, we had the pleasure of welcoming actress & TV presenter, Denise Welch, into the 'Up4aMeet?' audience at the Waterloo East Theatre.  Denise, good friends of co-star Matt Evers after being skating partners on 'Dancing On Ice', was accompanied by some of her friends who work on 'Loose Women' over at ITV too.  They all seemed to thoroughly enjoy the play and Denise seemed equally excited to receive a hug from Uncle Bendy afterwards!

Here's a couple of official pictures from the show.  Slightly risque, but for being saved by a conveniently placed hand by co-star Penny Tasker.  Hope you enjoy!

Up4aMeet Press Night

Thursday 6th of September 2012 was Press Night for the play that I am in, 'Up4aMeet'.  It was well attended and seemed to go down well with the audience.  I was supported by some of my ex-Big Brother housemates and a few friends from stage, screen and the world of fashion.  Here's a selection of pictures of the post-performance celebrations at Auberge in Waterloo:

BB13 all blinged up!

It was about this time last year that my foster son came home with a new piece of bling around his wrist.  "A mate gave me it", he explained, "its what everyone's wearing now".

Several sparkling beads ajoined by intricately woven yarn.  Seemed novel to me, but would hardly catch on.  Or so I thought.  How little did I know?  Not for the first time was I completely out of touch with youth and popular culture.

So, it turns out, that one of the biggest fans of Big Brother UK, and a frequent attendee and contributor on Big Brother's Bit On The Side, is the one and only official photographer for Tresor Paris, Daniel.

Yesterday, a group of us Big Brother 13 housemates (Luke A, Adam, Shievonne, Sara and myself) were invited down to Hatton Garden, the centre of London's jewellery industry, to the headquarters of Tresor Paris (no, they are not, as you may be assuming, on the other side of The Channel) and showered with some lovely gifts from their collection.  Luckily for Adam, it was also his birthday!

As you may have already realised, I am not a massive jewellery wearer.  This is largely because I have not the budget or inclination to spend vast sums on such things.  However, if I have happen to come into possession of such precious items, I am more than delighted to give them a whirl!

I was fortunate enough to come away with a brand new necklace, two bracelets and an exclusive (not yet launched) watch.  I am a lucky boy!  What do you think of my new collection?:

'Daisy' Movie Premiere

New  film that tells the real story of British porn star, Daisy Rock, and stars Benedict Garret (as his porn alias 'Jonny Cockfill') made its world premiere at Komedia in Brighton yesterday.

Arriving just a few minutes late, having chauffeured the film's namesake from London, Daisy and I located at our seats at the centre table.  We sat amongst a crowded Komedia, waiting to finally see the much anticipated premier of 'Daisy', a real life account of a moment in the life of Daisy Rock as she travels to Ibiza to what will be her last ever porn shoot, following the antics of her and her fellow porn performers, myself amongst them.

Beautifully shot and directed by Jamie Patterson of Jump Start Productions, it is one of the best insights into the highs and lows of the porn industry I have seen in recent times, as biased as that may be.

The film was enthusiastically received by all in attendance.  To get your copy for just £7.99 and see what you're missing, visit http://www.jumpstartdistributions.com/film/daisy-limited-edition-dvd-uncensored/ .

Last Bite of the Big Apple

Its the final day in NYC and we have a few hours to kill, so we venture up 5th Avenue and decide to take a pleasant stroll in Central Park.  Pleasant, that is, until the relentless New York sun decided to... well, relent.  Grey clouds were quickly followed by heavy downpours.  I know I should have brought a hat, my hair thickener ran half way down my face.  I looked more like a member of the SAS than your typical British tourist abroad.  I don't think anyone noticed... much.

Here's a picture taken at the corner of 5th Avenue and Central Park, before the hair disaster:

Well, its been an amazing experience, although far too brief.  I too hope I will be back in NYC some time soon and for longer.  See you all on the other side of the pond!

2 wheels better than 4

Interview done and we only have one night left in NYC before we have to fly back to Blighty.  So its time to see as much of the city as we can in the short amount of time we have remaining.  So we hire bicycles and complete a 12 mile route following the cycles paths along the Hudson and East Rivers, before cutting back through Manhattan on the busy (and suicidal) 42nd Street.

Interview for ABC's 2020

The day has arrived!

My manager and I rise early and head over to the location for today's interview for ABC's 2020 show.  Luckily, its just a few blocks along on 49th Street, but even the short walk in the morning humidity while dressed in a suit, brings on a real sweat.

The location is owned by an artist, a typical New York City townhouse/warehouse/artist's studio.  We ascend to the top floor in a huge elevator, big enough to take an entire car, although I do doubt ABC's Health & Safety Department would have approved.

I finally get to meet producer, Susie (a British-American who has lived between New York and London for many years, but now settled in Connecticut) and the lady who will be interviewing me, Amy Rombach.

The interview lasts for an hour and, I have to say, goes exceedingly well.  Although my manager advises me that the section where I say "whacking one off" may not be broadcastable on American TV.  Oh well.

The interview will be airing on a 2020 special all about teachers who have ventured into the world of adult entertainment and how this has impacted on their lives and their careers.  It should air on September 14th.  Parts of the show will also be aired on Nightline and Good Morning America.

New York City Strolling

Its my first time in New York City.  I cannot contain my excitement.  I have a quick wash to freshen up then, while I wait for my manager to arrive from JFK Airport, I decide to take a little stroll to the most iconic of New York City landmarks, Times Square.  It certainly puts Piccadilly Circus to shame, although both suffer from being over-priced tourist traps and ridden with hawkers.

My manager's taxi finally arrives.  He blamed his longer than expected delay on queues at immigration.  Have to say, I was pleasantly surprised how swift and amicable the immigration process and officers were at Newark.

I am disappointed with myself.  I have always held much criticism for aspects of the USA, but I can't seem to stop myself from loving almost everything about this city so far.  Damn you, New York!  With that level optimism, I decide, despite his sore legs, to drag my manager around the city on a little walking tour through Hell's Kitchen and over to the banks of the Hudson River.

Of all places, I thought I would be 'safe' from getting recognised in NYC.  However, as soon as we reach the Hudson River I hear the dulcet tones of two Yorkshire sisters screaming "Its Benedict!  Can we have a picture?".  When I return to the hotel, I receive a tweet from an American follower from Chicago, in New York to see a friend, who also claims to have spotted me on the streets of NYC, identifying me by my clothes and my manager.  What a small world!
