Johnny Anglais is interviewed by Philip Schofield and Holly Willoughby on ITV1's morning show, 'This Morning', about the recent story making headlines around the world.


Knowing that this was going to be my fourth national television appearance (twice on the Beeb and once on Spanish TV), I was somewhat calmer arriving at the 'This Morning' studio early yesterday morning.  It had all been a bit rushed - train down the night before, quick kip in the hotel, then off early in the morning to see Philip and Holly.  The air of calmness continued at the studio, with its domestic atmosphere and soft furnishings.  It was more reminscent of a converted country stables than a TV studio on the banks of the River Thames in Central London.
After some time spent in the Green Room, meeting 'Bird of a Feather' stars Linda Robson and Leslie Joseph, and a few takes filming me walking or, as requested, 'strutting' down the corridor, I was led into the studio to meet Mr Schofield and Ms.Willoughby (Willoughby, Willoughby, Willoughby...).
Obviously, I knew I would have to defend myself and face a barrage of criticism and Holly and Phil, in their roles as hosts and 'Devil's advocates' threw their worst at me, but I came away content that I represented my point of view well.  Apologies to Holly however, for calling her 'Ms.Wallaby' and making it feel necessary for her to raise her hand to speak.
Of course, I had already had some practice the days before, having done my rounds of the BBC radio stations, but this was an unrivalled opportunity for the public to actually see and hear me 'defend' myself for the first time.  I am incredibly grateful to ITV for having given me that chance.  Of course, there are those who see me nothing as a vile and perverse example of a human being.  There are those who commented I came across as 'arrogant'.  But I am satisfied that I did the best I could to represent a point of view that, although some may disagree, is a point of view that is worthy of being heard.
And before the accusations of money-hunter start flying in my direction, I got paid the grand sum of nothing to appear on 'This Morning', except for a train ticket and a hotel bed.

It is, therefore, perhaps with some controversy that adult entertainer, Johnny Anglais, has been accepted to represent the capital with the possibility of winning the coveted title. 

Johnny says that being selected to represent his beloved city in this contest is an honour, but even he was surprised when he heard the good news. “I was completely honest with the organisers from the start.  I’m not stupid, I realise that some people do not approve of what I do and would certainly question the possibility of me being a ‘role model’”.  

When asked, by the organisers of the contest, why he should be Mister Supernational 2011,Johnny stated:

“I believe that a man is not just one thing.  A man, by his sheer nature, is multi-faceted.  He is a lover, a father and a son and a friend to many. Having been a teacher, a stripper, a porn 'star', an actor, a singer, a campaigner - I break the mould (or, at least, I prove the above to be true).  I am well-spoken, articulate, intelligent, educated and a gentleman.  I am also kind and loving.  But I am also a sexual beast, a red-hot lover who enjoys nothing more than a night of passion or, as is often the case, as an exhibitionist in front of camera.”

Since being fired from his teaching job last year, Johnny has been interviewed, at home and abroad, for various newspaper and magazine articles, radio stations, on Spanish national television, on BBC1's 'The Big Question' debate about porn and been one of the official speakers at the Cambridge Union's debate about the role of porn in society where he claimed that "the problem is not porn, but our immature national attitude to sex" and that"allowing your child unlimited access to the internet is like dropping your child off in Soho, saying 'Here you are, we'll see you in a few hours'." 

As well as his public speaking role, Johnny also landed a role in a new US series on HBO called 'Girls Guide to Depravity' and in Noel Clarke's next big film, a romantic comedy, to be released in February 2012, 'The Knot', which also stars Matthew McNulty, Talulah Riley and Hollywood actress, Mena Suvari. 

Johnny continues,  unashamedly,  in his role as a stripper and is now appearing regularly as one of The Dreamboys, as well as a performer in R18 productions. 

Outside of work, Johnny ran this year's London Marathon, raising money for Whizz-kids, sang in a charity cabaret highlighting awareness about testicular cancer, and has recently won the right to continue caring for an ex-student whom he assisted in rescuing from Pakistan after being taken out of sixth form in Redbridge and forced into an Islamic religious school by his parents.
